You must have a MyCity profile to apply online. If you don't have one yet, you can create one
here
Once you start the application you will have 30 days to submit it. Your application will be saved to your MyCity profile until you submit and pay for it. You can access it by logging into MyCity, then clicking on the In Progress Applications button at the top of the Registered Accounts page.
Application fee payments must be made by Visa or Mastercard. A non-refundable 2.75% service fee will apply
Required Documentation for all Applications:
- Agency Agreement - if the property has more than one owner
- Rough layout of proposed plumbing fixture location

BC Building Code Clause 1.2.3.1.
Plumbing permits are required for the installation, alteration (addition, removal, relocation), or repair of a plumbing system, and work shall conform to the current BC Plumbing Code and the City of Kamloops Building Regulation Bylaw. Personnel performing the work shall:
- possess a tradesman’s qualification as a BC certified plumber
- be an indentured apprentice supervised by a journeyman who meets the criteria set out in clause (a)
- be a registered owner and occupant or intended occupant of the single-family dwelling in which the plumbing work will occur, not to include garden suites, secondary suites, commercial, or multi-family
Once you complete your online application, you'll receive an reference number, which will allow you to review your submission under your MyCity profile.
